awesome autumn art

This time of the year, I like to come up with different leaf themed
projects to celebrate the season, here are just a few.

Bulletin boards may not be my genre, but I have to brag about this one.
It is made of glittery watercolor leaf strips and cutouts.
(It is definitely way better in person, see the closeups below).

Close up of bulletin board...Doesn't glitter make everything better?!!!

Traced leaves finished in chalk pastels.

A traced leaf template, gridded, with colorful
textures inside and value textures outside.

Traced leaf template, glue, glitter, watercolor, construction paper mat.

Black and white zentagle leaves.

Happy Fall, Y'all!

a bit of steam and a little more spook

I am totally into the Steampunk movement, not only because of its
awesomeness, but because of how fabulously fun it is to blend
halloween and steampunk together!  Here are a few "stamples"
I have created for Mrs. O'leary's art store using Artful Illusions stamps.
A canvas with papers, stamped images, and embellishments...

...oh, that steampunk gentlemen!...

...spooky skull, gears, wings, clocks, and spiders, oh, my!...

...black, white, and pink all over!...

...a canvas using Graphic 45 papers and Tim Holz die-cuts and embellishments...

...an altered paper mache bust as inspired by an article in Somerset Studio...

...Bee In My Bonnet...one tag from a three tagged canvas...

...ooooh...a steamy night owl!...

...Lucky 13 Belle Femme...

...fun stamping on a dictionary page...love this idea...you may see more soon...

more spooktacularness

Each Halloween season I am inspired to make a few projects for myself out
of all the fabulously spooky papers and embellishments that are now available.
These are just a few...enjoy!
an altered crow from the dollar store in black and white...

...a layered haunted house book loaded with stamped images, papers, stickers and embelish-ments...

...a shadow box frame from the dollar store with glittered crow,
witch's caldren, feathers, and spider house...

...a house shadow box filled with goodies...

...a Halloween scrapbook to fill every year with my costumed puppy!
Designed by Betty from Mrs. O'leary's...

...a haunting altered book...
house shape cutout,
spiderweb laced fabric,
spooky spider, fence, nest,
eggs...creepy, freaky, scary...
What are you afraid of?...

...Halloween Alice in Wonderland themed "bookbag" (paper by Graphic 45)
...created from a Reader's Digest book cover, purse handles, and fabric...
...couldn't just stop with the bag...had to make a book to go inside!...

...a spooky star book designed by Elaine for Mrs. O'Leary's

Hope you are inspired to go out and make your own Spooktacularness!
Have a safe and happy Halloween!
